It is well researched and well written. I entirely agree that the cost of corruption that the masses are currently paying for
is as a result of the 1994 awful political transition that allowed people with criminal records to vie for public offices.
A provision in the Republican Constitution allowed them. It is a route through
which such people enter government and cause havoc. With high profile people still being convicted of corruption and
other relevant crimes, it is just a matter of time when Malawi’s political landscape will be full of ex-convict. It frightens …

It leaves an audit trail thereby offering an opportunity to track some level of corruption. Other benefits are convenience, reasonable total cost of transaction etc.. So Mr author, whether it roots out corruption or not, a cashless economy is better.
