Maloya becomes third coaching casualty in Malawi

TNM Super League rookies Airborne Rangers, from the Central Region, have sacked coach Thomas Maloya, citing a poor run of form.

Maloya follows Stuart Mbolembole and Mario Gadaga who got the sack from Mighty Wanderers and Blantyre United, but results are yet to translate.

In fact, United new coach Alex Masanjala registered his first win on Saturday when beating Rangers 3-2, in what proved to be the last straw for Maloya.

Under his watch, Maloya registered just one win in eight games for the 11th placed Rangers. Rangers official John Mhango told MBC Radio on Wednesday they could not take it anymore.

Reports suggest that former Moyale Barracks coach Temwa Msuku could eventually take over Rangers, who are currently under caretakers such as Kondwani Gawani.
