MCP councillor Mlogera granted bail on sexual assualt case
Ward councillor for Chibanja in Mzuzu City was Thursday finally granted bail for sexual assualt cases which he is currently answering.
Mlogera, of Malawi Congress Party (MCP), is alleged to have gotten drunk three girls before sexually abusing them one after the other last month.
Two of the girls were aged 16 while the third was 15.
Mlogera has been on remand since his arrest last month following the Child Magistrate Court’s argument that he would be attacked by relatives of the children who were baying for his blood.
But on Thursday the court granted Mlogera bail after his defence attorney George Kadzipatike argued for its need.
According to Mzuzu Police deputy spokesperson Cecilia Mfune, Mlogera has been granted bail with a K200 000 bond.

Surprised this matter has taken so long to reach trial,
Did he take the 3 girls who are under 18 to rest house or not,
If not rape it is defilement regardless if the girls agreed.
Try this pig and sentence him to 14 years like others and make example of him.
