Without serious recognition by govt. that agric shall remain the backbone of our economy, this country will never produce a balanced national budget. Remember Dr Kamuzu Banda used to call crop inspection tours as budget number one, meaning that what finance minister formulates is a budget that derives its main figures from agric production figures. If we deliberately ignore agric we are just killing the people
