M’doka dares Perpetual Mkandawire in non-title bout

Zomba-based boxer Bright M’doka has come out of his cocoon to challenge veteran pugilist Perpetual Mkandawire in an eight-round professional non-title bout.

The fight has been scheduled to take place at Area 30 in Lilongwe on February 24 courtesy of Tasamota Boxing Promotions.

The 22-year-old M’doka told Nyasa Times that the bout will shape him for another contest with Limbani Masamba who defeated him with a first round knockout last year.

“Perpetual is not going to last long in the ring because I am going to knock him down in Round 3. I just want to learn a few tricks from him as you know he has vast experience in this field. I believe this bout
is going to prepare well for a return fight against (Limbani) Masamba in few weeks time,” he said.

In a separate interview with Nyasa Times, Mkandawire laughed off M’doka’s challenge and
said the young boxer should brace for tough time in the ring.

“These youngsters just want to dent my image with their bragging. For his impudence, I am going to beat him to the extent that he is going to forget his name. I also tell him that my blows make him to retire much
earlier than he thinks,” Mkandawire said.

M’doka boasts of a boxing resume of five wins and one loss out of the six fights since turning professional last year.
