Koma amalawi why are we letting this guy spout such rubbish? If Msaka cannot see the importance of reliable energy supply, then we have a big problem on our hands. No wonder they do not have a plan nor ambitions nor vision to turn around the fortunes of this country. Who projects such kind of logic of failure and takes comfort in mediocrity? This country is being ruled by idiots who came into government with no ideas and they are really fumbling in the dark. Lets get rid of these jokers, fellow Nyasas. The country needs a total overhaul before… Read more »

FOOLISHNESS OF THE HIGHEST MAGNITUDE, INSTEAD OF SOLVING YOUR PROBLEMS U ARE BUSY MAKING COMPARISONS. SO WHAT IF ALL THE SOUTHERN AFRICAN COUNTRIES ARE EXPERIENCING BLACKOUTS? THIS MINISTER IS LIKE SEVERAL OTHERS IN THIS DPP GOVERNMENT IS VERY USELESS, ALL THIS TIME I THOUGHT HE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FOOLS, I WAS WRONG……SHAMELESS

Wabodza, Malawi is the only country which is experiencing Blackouts of this magnitude with some areas getting 17 hours a day blackouts. We have heard the story before it will happen after 1 year or 2 years, and things never change infact post independence this is the worst blackouts ever in Malawi. Suprising there are no resginations or sackings for underperformance at Escom or the ministry of Energy.

O……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………O Hearing what Msaka has said, one thing is clear: “Age does not always bring wisdom. Sometimes age comes alone.” – Anonymous. Nanga inu . . . . . If you write the MSCE for instance, and all people in your class (including you) fail; will you celebrate that you are not the only one who has failed the exam? . . . Nanga inu, if you are involved in an accident and all people, including yourself die; will the dead-you smile just because you are not the only one who is dead? . . . Kodi inu, if you… Read more »

I have been seen Msaka as one of the sharp civil servant of his time. Unfortunately, he has just exposed his foolishness. Malawi is the only country seriously affected by electricity problems. There is no single problem of electricity in the neighboring Mozambique for example. Other countries as well are not affected as Malawi is. Don’t cheat non-travelling Malawians.

Not true. South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique are not suffering from load shedding and not all are hydro-dependent. South Africa and Botswana are coal-dependent. I don’t see how you could justify 2000 MW by 2024 and how that could be financed in such an economy.
