When Malawi has once again appeared on the list of the poorest country on earth, it makes my blood boil to once again read of the rampant corruption going on. Malawians have for too long been tolerant of politicians and civil servants helping themselves with impunity to money which belongs to the people of Malawi. Unless this government cracks down on these criminals and implements a zero tolerance policy towards all forms of corruption Malawi will continue on this downwards spiral of poverty. 98% (being too generous)6 of all the people in influential positions in Malawi don’t have the best interest of this country at heart nor any other person that’s not their family or friend. They get in position ruin the organisation and the leave / die and the cycle continues since 52 yrs ago. Macra is about to go down because of the same. Escom is not as it used to be.
