Miss Blantyre beauty pageant Friday at Malawi Sun Hotel

The Miss Blantyre Beauty Pageant returns this Friday night at  Malawi Sun Hotel where 12 contestants from the commercial capital are expected to compete for the crown.

Confirming the news to Nyasa Times, Kelvin Sulugwe, Communications and Public Relations Manager for the RedRose who are the organizers of the event, said all is set for the final and all girls are ready for the title.

“The models recruitment process was never easy as we received so many applications from interested girls. We had a number of issues which we considered before coming up with the final list.

“In short, we were looking for girls with a passion for youth development and charity related projects. MSCE was an entry point and a consideration was given to school leavers,” said Sulugwe in a statement seen by Nyasa Times.
