Mr Chitete SIR, we cannot proceed with destruction and hate propagation being promoted on social media as Press freedom. There are limits and responsibility to every action one takes. And why should only Online media enjoy unlimited press freedom when others such as Print and Electronic media are taken to task for misinformation and bleach of peace? Don’t focus on government alone as the only party to suffer injury form Online media onslaught, private individuals like me as well are being destroyed by irresponsible Online media. We all have rights and freedoms to safeguard.

I totally agree with You Mwalonde. If Nation writes something bad they can be sued why not Nyasatimes yet they all disseminate news.

Nyasa Times can be sued at any time and has legal rights ro defend themselves. The publication does not hide parriculars of its Editors, and domiciled address. President Peter Mutharika sued Nyasa Times among many others.

You miss the point. Its not about the individuals that work for an organization, but organisation itself. If you are talking about Editors domicile, you are saying you can not be touched because you are domicile elsewhere. Can you please give details of Nyasa Times registered office? Not your home address.

On several occasions some online media blogs have been sued for various hate accusations. What this government wants is to muzzle up each and every media institution that criticizes some of its weaknesses. That wont take us anywhere in terms of development of the country.
