Surestream FC technical director Peter Mponda has finally resigned and this time around the club’s management has accepted him to move on.
Mponda submitted his resignation letter to the club’s chairperson Chris Pitman and he has since accepted it.
Surestream Public Relations Officer, Linda Chiume Gombera confirmed that the club has let Mponda go by mutual consent.
Gombera said the two agreed to part ways after looking at the indifferent start to the TNM Super League campaign by Surestream.
“Surestream and Peter Mponda have agreed to part company by mutual consent,” she said. “We wish Peter Mponda well for the future.”
The club which is yet to win a game in the league said it shall make “a further announcement in due course.”
Surestream FC made history by becoming the first outfit to make it into the Super League within two seasons of playing competitive football. They won Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) Division One title in 2013 and the Premier League glory the following year.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
