Mr World Malawi slated for December 27
The inaugural Mr World Malawi is set for 27th December at Capital Hotel in Lilongwe, organizers have disclosed.
This is an event aimed at crowning Mr Malawi, who will represent the country at next year’s Mr World slated for June in China.
According to organizers, Artistic Agency and Theophilus Fashion, there are fifteen models that have made it to the finals.
“We have 15 contestants drawn from across Malawi,” disclosed Godfrey Kambewa of Theophilus Fashion. They have been competing in fashion, photography and multimedia.”
The models are also expected to compete in aerobics, marathon, talent and culture before the grand finale.
According to Kambewa, a week before the finale, they will host a preshow at the same venue Capital Hotel where there will be a challenge for the contestants.
“They will parade in traditional attire and talent performances,” he indicated. “This is dubbed Malawi’s Finest.”
Apart from the trip to China, Mr Malawi World 2013 winner will receive K500,000 as prize money.
