Multichoice Malawi focuses on Africa this month

Digital Satellite Television (DStv) provider Multichoice says it will beam more African content this month of May which it has chosen to be Africa month.

Multichoice Malawi Marketing Manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda said this month will also be highlighted with season 8 of the hit reality show Big Brother Africa which kicks off on May 25 and will be screened for 91 days on DStv channels 197 and 198.

He said homegrown programming will be highlighted and celebrated on DStv as the continent gets ready to celebrate Africa day on May 26.

“The AfricaMagic channels will continue delivering original, homegrown content in entertainment, lifestyle, drama series, reality television and film. The channels are home to an array of popular African shows such as Star Gist, Tinsel, 53 Extra, Jim lyke,” said Nyirenda.

He said the month of May is also jam packed with non-stop sporting action with a number of African football leagues in countries such as Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana, Botswana, Tanzania and South Africa.
