Munlo accuses PPM’s Katsonga of being autocrat

Former spokesman for People’s Progressive Movement (PPM) Redson Munlo has accused president of the party Mark Katsonga Phiri of being a dictator.

Munlo, who was blocked from contesting as secretary-general at PPM convention, charged that Katsonga Phiri is autocratic in the way he runs PPM.

He said Katsonga runs PPM in an ‘animal-farm’ style.

Munlo took it on Facebook to air his concerns against Katsonga, saying it is not enough to discredit other parties when PPM itself is a victim of the same problem.

“When people don’t want to change themselves, they cannot be drivers of change,” said Munlo.

“When you don’t want listen to other views and you take those who give  advise as your enemies then forget to be a president of Malawi,” Munlo pointed out in his blistering attack on Katsonga.

“You cannot be the champion of decentralization when yourself you are not decentralized, especially when you run the party like your company. It does not work like that.”

He also laughed at Katsonga that even his wife, Agness Katsonga does not support his presidential bid.
