They saying “African problems must be solved by Africans” is gud but African leaders they like making themselves rich while those who voted them are dying of hunger.

Only if politicians can handle evidence. Otherwise this will remain rhetoric and a passing fad if we continue privileging our disarticulated body politic. It is self-evident that policies such as FISP, Malata et al have no credible evidence base save for their populist allure. Government technocrats understand this by-and-large but dare not speak truth to power. The problem lies with our type of politicization that spawns short-termistic policy making in the name of appealing to votes.
