Second-placed Mzuzu University (Mzuni) continue giving leaders Blue Eagles the chase in the TNM Super League after beating visiting Max Bullets 2-0 on Saturday to amass nine points from four games, six points behind the leaders Eagles.
Eagles have won all their five games and are one game ahead of those close behind.
On third place are Moyale with seven points from four games. The Mzuzu-based soldiers have moved from position five.
Epac have moved from position nine to four after beating Dwangwa United 3-0 to garner six points.
They tie on six points with fifth-placed Big Bullets, who drew 2-2 with Mafco on Sunday at Chitowe and Mighty Be Forward Wanderers, who were also held by visiting Civo United through a goalless match at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.
Also on six points are 7th-placed Civo United and Silver Strikers on position 8. Silver have moved from 12th after Wizards 2-0 on Saturday.
This weekend will have two interesting fixtures — that between the leaders Blue Eagles and third-placed Moyale at Nankhaka and one between runners-up Mzuni up against a resurrected Silver Strikers.
At their turf Silver are a hard nut to crack as well as the Eagles at their Nankhaka.
Defending champions will be taking on Epac at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday while Wanderers will be up against Mafco at the same venue the following day.
