Mzuzu ‘Man of God’ challenges others on ‘testimonies’, says most  are fake

Mzuzu-based Apostle McHellings Kayala of Christ Fellowship Centre for All Nations (CFCAN) has challenged fellow men and women of God in the country to “verify” the testimonies they go to town with, arguing most of them are fake.

Without pointing at anyone in particular, Kayala said public opinion was “true” that many people were paid to “testify” in churches.

He made the challenge recently after a woman he had healed of stomach tumours that would never let her get pregnant, came back to thank God – heavy with a four-month pregnancy.

Felista Banda, from Champhira in Mzimba, told Nyasa Times after the testimony with the medical documents in hand, confirming that she had been wholly delivered.

According to Kayala, most preachers were trying to woe people to themselves through “crooked” means.

“Satan, the crooked, is trying to bring the glory of God down through ‘men of God,” he said adding that, “Christians and believers of God must always pray to save themselves from such.”

Kayala said most of the ‘Men of God’ in the world today “have been bought by the devil” to confuse God’s children.

“Most, if you will see, only preach about prosperity and financial freedom. But people come to church for many different reasons: people want peace, people want to be taught about the word of God, people want to be loved and so many other things. It shouldn’t just be money, money and money.”

His Church, located next to Grand Palace Hotel in Mzuzu, has members – most of who – said their love to Kayala were his teachings.

He starts with a teaching, prayers spiced with some soothing praise and worship followed by deliverance and benediction (thanks to God).

Others, especially in Africa, delve more into preaching about money and showcasing testimonies that most of the times cannot be confirmed to be true or false.

You may not agree with him on his claims but his critique on commercializing the gospel and healing, he is right. Nowhere the Bible supports the commercialization of healing. Healing is a gift from God.
