Namadingo is vocal coach for Malawi Sunbird Search for a Star

Multi-talented gospel artist, Patience Namadingo, has returned his 2013 job as the Sunbird Search for a Star (SSS) contestants’ vocal coach.

The 25 contestants who made it to the second phase of the SSS 2014 auditions went into camp and the producers, E-Wallet, have selected the best 16 who will be meeting Namadingo  to prepare for the show which starts next Saturday, 16 August.

Apart from the vocal training in camp, the 16 contestants will also train with the band as they are expected to perform with live equipment from the first to the final show, a new setup introduced by the producers.

The contestants are expected to remain in camp at Sunbird Mount Soche hotel in Blantyre until the opening show at the same venue next week.

The competition is expected to run for about four months, with the grand finale likely to be held on 5 October at Sunbird Mount Soche where five finalists will compete for the ultimate prize of K500,000. The first and second runners up will receive K300,000 and K200,000, respectively.
