NASME assures SMEs on loan accessibility: Malawi should be exporting country

National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) has assured Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Blantyre that it will help them on loan accessibility from financial institutions.

Speaking to the participants in the city, NASME’s National Executive Director, William Mwale, said: “NASME is there before you to help you doing better in business and market identification. We are a go between business, market places and the banks where you can access small loans to boost your business.”

Mwale further urged the participants to take a step in producing things that will see Malawi an exporting country other than a consuming country, adding that there are food products like bananas, potatoes, beans, tomatoes sun-flowers, ground nuts that can be exported.

The microfinance organisation offers SMEs loans with a startup of K5, 000.00 to K80, 000.00 while big businesses would easily access a loan from K80, 000.00 to K250, 000.00 with ages ranging from 18 to 65 years.

Participants to the meeting included SMEs from Lunzu, Maluwa in Chadzunda, Kantimbanya, Kapalaliza in Chilomoni and many others.
