National Oil CEO Mdeza gets K1m in Airtel’s ‘Kutola Chikwama’ promo

National Oil Company Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Mdeza on Tuesday expressed excitement after receiving a MK1million cheque in the Kutola Chikwama with Airtel Money Promotion  from Airtel Malawi.

Mdeza emerged a 4th winner of the weekly prize in the promotion.

Speaking after receiving the cheque, he said, he could not believe it when he was told about the good news of being one of the winners in the promotion.

“I usually buy electricity, airtime and even sending money to my family and friends using Airtel Money. It is accessible and it is fast than other systems,” he said.

He however said that he will use the money to pay school fees for the children.

In his remarks, the company’s Revenue Planning and Research Manager Richmond Chinula observed that customers look forward to receiving and winning life changing prizes from Airtel like what is being offered in the promotion.

“For this reason, we continue to drive customer service initiatives that aim at improving our network performance and coverage. In the same token we would to bring Airtel Money service to every home in Malawi,” he said.

The company would continue to positively respond to customer demands and would continue to roll out various innovative services that are customer-centric.

The company also handed over a MK1million cheque to a 5th winner Alex Ciringwi from Dzaleka Refuee Camp.

The race for the promotion will end on September 30 with MK10million as grand prize.
