Start packing, JZU alerts Bingu
President Bingu wa Mutharika might as well start packing his effects at Presidential palace ready for eviction as Malawi Congress Party (MCP) presidential candidate John Zenus Ungapake [JZU] Tembo said the incumbent will not win next May’s polls.
Tembo told thousands of supporters at a convention meeting he addressed in Likuni in that he will steer the MCP into government in the next year’s polls.
He said legislators who dumped MCP for Mutharika’s “gravy train” are now facing the reality of their political careers making a dig on his former second-in command Nicholas Dausi that he used MCP structures to vote for him in the DPP primaries against minister Davis Katsonga in Mwanza central constituency.
"These people have now started regretting as they know that the MCP is going to be the next government," he said.
Chief Malili advised JZU have a passion for the people once voted into government sighting the failure by the Mutharika government to make fertilizer coupons accessible by all farmers as a bad development.
Malili encouraged Tembo to go ahead with the universal fertilizer subsidy on maize and tobacco as a means of improving food security in the country.
Member of Parliament for the area, Jean Sendeza said many people were facing food shortages despite government propaganda that there was enough food supply in the country.
A recent report by the Malawi Vulnerability Assessment Committee, composed of donors and the government, some half a million Malawians affected by drought may face food shortages before the 2008 harvest and that drought-affected areas were being watched closely.
Political scientist Pofela Nyekanyeka said Tembo chances of winning the presidency next year looks “brighter” and that he has remained a “solid politician after turning down Mutharika’s offer for the post of second vice president.”
On 16 July 2005, Tembo is on record addressing a news conference in which he said President Mutharika sent envoys to his Area 10 house offering him the vacant third highest position in the land but he flatly turned it down.
Meanwhile, Tembo said he will announce names of the people holding positions in the central executive committee of MCP later when party secretary general Christopher Daza and his deputy Beston Majoni returns from abroad.
"I should have announced the names of the people appointed into the NEC but I cannot do that now as the Secretary General and his vice are in London,” said JZU fondly called “Baba” in the central region.
Tembo will be contesting for the country’s top job for the second time after his first attempt in 2008 was unsuccessful from what he still maintains he was robbed a victory.
President Mutharika will be contesting the presidential race for the third time. His first attempt was in 1999 under United Party which he miserably lost. He won the second attempt in 2004 under the banner of UDF.
UDF’s Bakili Muluzi will also be vying for the presidency for the third time after winning in 1994 and 1999.

Ife ndi a Mose basi
Muluzi worn in 1994 becoz of north, central and south and in second term the same BUT in Bingu term(2004) he lost becoz only South voted for him as highly populated as South is. Does this require so called political analysis/fortune tellers rather to tell you.
Banamizanani.
Dont forget Bingu is iin power and he will get votes from North, Central and South Plus a Little Rigging. If Muluzi and Bingu worn by 34% in 2004 what do you think will prevent Bingu alone to win by 40%?
Wayesa amalume unatiphera aja basi ife tinaiwala and can vote for you again?
LetAaron Gadama wake up kulichete andvote for you then youcan win elections in 2009 and thats how hard it is for you to win elections again in Malawi.
Never GAIN as Malawians will allow killers to rule this beautiful nation. Some one can still from me * have no problem to forgive BUT killing my Father? It keeps coming whenever * hear friends saying my father and all * think is if it was not for JZU my father would be alive today!!!!
God is a God of JUSTICE!!!
CRY MY BELOVED COUNTRY MALAWI!!!!
1. DPP is very strong in all districts of the North (no doubt about it)
2. DPP is very strong in Phalombe, Mulanje, Zomba, Thyolo, Blantyre, Mwanza, Neno, Nsanje and Chikwawa ( No doubt about it)
3. DPP ranks no. 2 from UDF in Machinga, mangochi, Balaka.
3. DPP is strong is Dowa and Ntchisi (Tembo knows)
3. and DPP ranks 2 in the remaining districts of the central region where MCP is no 1.
This is a true picture of what is happening on the ground.
Unless if Tembo goes into a coalition, he cannot win next year'* elections and he will be surprised that a number of seats in the central will go to DPP unlike the 2004 elections where everybody wanted UDF out.
Monga wanena MAIMai IT WILL TAKE Aaron Gadama to come and vote for Tembo if he can win elections.
Vuto la MCP leaders is that anyone opposing them they just slaughter , no nego.
wAyambiranso ati akufuna u president come 2009!!! MULIKUTI BWANA?
* DON'* THINK TEMBO WILL EVER BE PRESIDENT OF THIS COUNTRY. Central region alone is not enough to win the presidency.
But it'* nice to dream!!!!!!!
come next year you will be surprised, more surprised as BABA will not only scoop more MPS, but he will also take the presidency.
Nobody has seen blood in Tembos hands and * have shaken his hand a million times .Even Bingu the Fake Ngwazi has never washed his hands blood soiled after he shook Babas hands.
Central region yokha si malawi ayi!
Am glad that a poor man from Malili will judge according to his/her own criteria. Mind you we have forgotten about Gadama, Orton Chirwa these were leballs to Kamuzu like Chilumpha to Bingu.
Tembo baba inu wa ku STATE HOUSE nafe tidzikamwa nanu NTONJANI wa ku MAKATANI.
Voti ndi imodzi basi per munthu. Pokha pokha mukavote ka 16 inu nokha bola inuyo.
Amuna ndife Mkumba apite ku embassy ku Zimbabwe zikhale ng'oma apite ku DRC embassy
MCP will this country if the leadership can change but alas! Every time a young intelligent man arise there is always sudden dealth to the upcoming young man remember Lunguzi and Zanjalimodzi who we were all hoping that will take over the mantle where are they today?
Baba magazi anachuluka m'manja{kunena kwa Tcheya}
continue dreaming
Anzako anailowerera Dowa ndi Nchisi a DPP iwe uli zunguliri zungururi mu Dedza ndi Lilongwe.
Wauponda baba!!!
* wish you were reading Nyasatimes and you would geta fair idea than being cheated by cheap minds of NYEKANYEKA in the name of political nanalysis. These boys they best know to analyse girls skirts not politics.
Nchani chomwe MCP inayambitsako on its own and made UDF follow. Think of impeachment, Budget, Section 65, rejection of appointments by PAC. All were UDF agenda ochestrated by MCP. Its hard from concrete facts to conclude that MCp is in majority and not UDF. Search me!!
First a2 + b2 = c2
1. a = Tembo may win all central region MP elections
2. b = Tembo will win the more than 80% of central region presidentail votes
3. d = Tembo will lose drastically in the north and central
4. e = Bingu will win 80% of Presidential votes in the North and south east of Malawi
5. f = Muluzi will win 80% of Presidential votes in the South west of Malawi
6. g = Tembo will win 20 % of presidential votes in the South east and West of malawi
7 * = with a population of 13 million people, and 6 million casting their votes and 3 million living in the centre e = f= g = * = less just over 3 million divided amongst the 3 candidates
8. Now back a2 + b2 = c2, if c = the president then Tembos MPS times 2 + Tembos votes (close to 2.6 million) times 2 = the President times 2.
Koma kodi Muluzi azayimadi. Sazayima anyway so the fight will be between tembo and Bingu and with our prayers Bingu could win.
* rest my case.
Makes tembo president easy.
He is smart he knows it.He is doing a central region strategy. When reality sinks UDF and DPP Will have to work together. They have a common fear of the tembo presidency
Tembo is strong in only few Central region district so how can he win kapena ***** poti ndiachoncho kale.
By now as a true democrat you should have apologised to the nation for the atrocities that were inflicted on Malawians in your name. You know them - nobody needs to remind you. But you have refused to aplogise. Remember even Ngwazi Dr. *. K. Banda apologized to us mere Malawian mortals.
A JZU you know about the death of so many people in Malawi. Your hands are full of blood. What did you think you were doing?
Matenje, Gadama, Chiwanga and Sangala are just but a few of them. We also dont understand how Respicious Dzanjalimodzi died. We believe you know. Like this, even God can never allow you to be President in Malawi. You lost it.
It is getting tooo late. But if you apologized today many of us will forgive you and vote for you in the forth coming elections. After all to err is human. But if you do not apologize, you will live to regret
Mwamva a Tembo?
This time around Tembo will lose miserably
Infact most of the ills during the Kamuzu Banda regime were not committed by Banda per say. The perpetrators of the unlawful detentions at Zereka, the disappearances of alot of relatives as well as prominent business men fed to crocs in the Shire were conducted by those surrounding Kamuzu. We all know who these people were. Hoping that the voting majority will not be populated by folks who were breastfeeding during the Kamuzu and MCP days.
* remember, sometime in the late 1970'*, there was hunger in the Southern Region but plenty in the Central. Central regions families were asked to contribute maize for distribution to the south under MCP rule. Nobody and * say nobody has ever mentioned about this. This thing cannot happen today. You talk of crocodiles and party cards, but say nothing of Kamuzu Academy where each district in Malawi benefited, not the rich but the intelligent. Some of the beneficiaries are the ones writing on this forum. How many of your children can go to Kamuzu Academy NOW? The fees is K350,000 per term.
Everybpdy has weak areas and strong areas.Every party has stronghold, even MDP check the previous results.Even in America, Democrats and Republicans have strongholds.
Lets be objective in our comments. If you saw Mr JZU feeding people to the crocodiles, that was in One Party era. He cannot do this now not event sell a party card ,even if he wanted to, with all these civil socities.
Malawi!Malawi!Malawi!
Do not remind us of the good old days.
What is needed is just to support the one who is already in there, do you think with that kind of jealous our God can give you that position? He needs people who are ready to serve him and his people.
BE HUMBLE AND READY to be USED BY GOD.
Tembo do not think people have forgotten what you did .Malawians lets go in large numbers to attend the meetings of this murder who is smelling blood wherever he goes.
RULING MALAWI aaaaa Tembo forget this is your last chance and it will be a technical knockout. INE NDIKAMAMUONA TEMBO NDIMANGOFUNA NDITAMUWAZA NACHO CHIBANGIRA CHIFUKWA ANTIZUNZA IFE OASALAKWA. KOMA TSIKU LINA NDIZAMUPONYERA CHIBAGIRA CHAKUMBIUYO NDIPO AZAONA NYENYEZI.
BAASI NDAPITA IWE TEMBO KAGWERE UKO USATINYANSE.
This is not a generation of expired political minds, the wind of change is blowing all over the world and its high time we have young dynamic minds of change and not more of the same.
Its quite sickening to notice that malawians are sticking to these old political minds who have dorminated our politics for decades and decades.Their policies have left us more divided than ever.
They can and will never give credit where it is due.
Its time for change and YES WE CAN.
