Dausi hits out at Mwakasungula

image Undule: Section 65 has affected progress of democracy and good governance

Ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) publicist Nicholas Dausi has dismissed as cheap talk by the Chairperson of Human Rights Consultative Committee, Undule Mwakasungula that democracy and good governance has been hampered during the reign of Bingu Mutharika due to the impasse surrounding Section 65.

Dausi said there is no doubt that good governance has been achieved under the leadership of DPP led government.

"As compared to the last two governments, the leadership of Dr Bingu Mutharika has achieved much in good governance and democracy in the country", said Dausi a "deserter" of Malawi Congress Party which ruled Malawi for 31 years of autocracy..

Talking to the press on Tuesday, May in the commercial city of Blantyre, the chairperson for Human Rights Consultative Committee, attributed section 65 to have contributed delays in progress of good governance and democracy in the country.

"The Issue of section 65, has affected progress of good governance and democracy," he said.

"I therefore feel that, it is imperative to speed up matters surrounding section 65, to let good governance and democracy be realised", Mwakasungula said in an interview.

However, Dausi who is also President Mutharika’s adviser on national unity dismissed the claims as "utter rubbish".

It'* a shame that Dausi is speaking against section 65. Prior to his imfamous defection to the lawless DPP he was an advocate of section 65. Malawians should not be taken for a ride by these greedy politicians who are using backdoors to mercilessly eat our taxes.
