Tembo condemns Bingu’s remarks
Leader of opposition John Tembo has condemned the remarks made by President Bingu Mutharika against him in Dowa and Nkhatabay respectively.
Tembo told Nyasa Times in an interview that he is "disappointed" with the disparagement remarks made by Bingu.
"The remarks were very disappointing coming at a time when we are looking at ways of solving the political impasse," said Tembo.
He blamed the Head of State for failing to honour the agreement no to divulge information of the proceedings of their rounds of talks until they reach an agreement.
On the threats of arrest made by Mutharika, the MCP president said he can not de intimidated and can not flee the country.
" I am used to the threats, there is no way I can run away from my country over threats," said Tembo.
"I have no where to go, Bingu can seek refuge in Zimbabwe since he is welcomed there," said Tembo.
Mutharika blasted Tembo as a symbol of eccentric oppression, which MCP was associated during one party tyranny.
