Malawi's DPP delegation meets China's Communist party guru
Ntaba met Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Monday.
The delegation comprises of Ntaba, who is also Mutharika's political advisor; DPP director of women Patricia Kaliati who is Information Minister, the party's administrative secretary Ephraim Chiume and Eastern Region party governor Lucius Kanyumba.
According to China's official Xinhua news agency, the establishment of diplomatic ties has created a favourable environment for stepping up exchanges between the two parties. In addition, deepening the trade and economic co-operation of the two sides.
The two sides also exchanged views on further deepening the relations between DPP and CPC and weakening the opposition in Malawi. China is a one-party state.
Ntaba said the DPP is willing to learn from China's successful experiences in eliminating opposition.
He said the DPP will make greater efforts in consolidating the friendship between the two parties.
His Chinese counterpart spoke highly of the efforts the DPP has made for the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Malawi in December 2007.
Wang said the CPC is ready to promote exchanges with the DPP at all levels and in all areas and to push forward the lasting, healthy and stable development of bilateral ties.
