Jailed for having sex with a goat
A 37 year-old Malawian, Charles Zimba has started serving a two year jail term with hard labour (IHL) after being convicted by the court for having sex with a she-goat.
Mzimba Police Station spokesman George Kondowe said Zimba was sent to jail after Embangweni Second Grade Magistrate Court found him guilty of acting against the order of nature.
“Human sexual activities are not supposed to be done with animals but with fellow human beings. Therefore, the shameful act portrayed by the convict had put the dignity of mankind into disrepute,” said Second Grade Magistrate Wales Mwafulirwa in his ruling.
According to police publicist, Zimba had sex with a she-goat on the night of June 7, 2009, while coming from Jenda Trading Centre on his way home to Pitala Village, Traditional Authority Khosolo in Mzimba district.
“Upon reaching home, instead of going straight to his house, he branched off to his neighbor’s house. He broke into a kraal and got hold of one she-goat and started having sex with it,” said Kondowe.
However, Kondowe said the bleating of the goat alerted the owner who was by then fast asleep. He then silently went direct to his kraal where he found and identified Zimba busy having quality time with the goat.
But Zimba, married told the court to consider being lenient to him saying he was influenced by the devil to quench his sexual libido on the goat.
In another development, Ntchisi District Hospital Clinicians had a big task mending a private part of a 22 year old mother whose genitals were sliced by her husband.
The mother, a standard-two school dropout, speaking in agony at her hospital bed, said her husband, Richman Chezi did the inconceivable act on after returning from a drinking spree at Mzandu trading centre in the area.
She said when her husband came back during the night he found her and her daughter sleeping and requested for sex from her.
“He came in asking me for sex, but I told him I could not sleep with him as he was too drunk and badly smelling beers,” she said.
The victim said the husband insisted and she later obliged.
“When he was on top of me, I felt very strange pain on my private parts. I screamed and cried but later didn’t know what happened until I was taken to the hospital,” explained the young mother.
She said at the hospital it was discovered that the husband had cut with a sharp object a side part of her genitals but did not completely remove it. – (Additional reporting by Mana)
