3547195637_a3afb5ec4bMalawi Congress Party (MCP) president, John Zenus Ungapake (JZU) Tembo said ruling DPP task force which rigging May 19 election results in favour of President Bingu wa Mutharika included Malawian ambassador to India, Brian Bowler and 25 other members.

According to Tembo, the members included, Chief Immigration officer, Elvis Thodi, TVMs Bright Malopa, Ken and Bruno Niganaga.

Tembo told a news conference held at his Area 10 residence in Lilongwe that the rigging schement was headed by Prof Peter Muthalika and had a base at Lhonro House in Blantyre.

“What am saying is that the Electoral Commission should come out in the open because the results that they gave out after the May 19 polls are not a true reflection of the way Malawians voted. Those were doctored and manipulated figures,” charged Tembo.

He said the MCP will go to court because they have compiled overwhelming objective evidence indicating that results were rigged

Tembo also said evidence show that police officers took part in the rigging by harassing party monitors.
