Related to this,Chikangawa forest is being finished at a pace that trees cant be replenished.Bush fires also destroy part of it at will.No one talks about it.Most of the timber crosses the songwe border to TZ.We eventually start importing timber from other countries at a high cost.

What we need are big electric power plants, not micro or mini hydro power plants on these rivers. These small hydroplants can come in as alternatives developed by private generators. The government should aim for the big plants. We cannot develop if our generating capacity remains at 282 MW. We can ask the Azungu to fund the big power projects so that we save our trees to take in CO2 the Azungus produce in their industries — i.e. carbon trading.

Promises & lies, action speaks louder than words, petrol diesil palibe, a lot of petrol cars r grounded, people are walking to work, no minibuses, ukachita mwayi kukwera njinga taxi, ndiye do not promise things you will not implement, if at all what u r saying about hydro-electric station in Ruo & Thuchira is going to happen then not during DPP regime, mwina the next government.

You can also get water from those rivers and supply to Blantyre & the sorrounding towns.
