pepani a banja la Ajinga. May he rest in peace.
Sad indeed. Pepani akubanja, pepani aku Mangochi. pepani a Malawi onse.
sad indeed. I remember that Ajingas first attempt to get a public office was when he wanted to become a District Governor. He lost to Kanyerere. He then attempted to grab Mh central seat by running against Mtewa and Msosa. He lost to Mtewa. When Mtewa died the seat in Mangochi became vacant and Ajinga attempted once again and this time lost to Dr Chiwaya a novice who had come back from Usa a year before and a Christian who many never gave a chance. Last elections Ajinga decided no to compete again with Chiwaya whose political popularity had gone up. He crossed the river and competed against Chikwenga and Jussab in Mangochi Malonbe. Lastly the gods smiled at him and he took his Oath in June 2009. Seven months later Ajinga is no more. Through all his quests to become an MP, he never left his Party regardless of the many insults people threw at him apparently for his lack of formal educational papers. (Nobody mentioned his qualifications at the funeral). Unfortunatelly he has died without making his maiden speech in parliament. As a person I have learnt one lesson from him: perseverence otherwise he could have given up long time ago Go ye well.

After sourcing enough capital he went to buy a fleet of cars and back home he started matola business operating mangochi – namwera. Later changed to construction of houses ~ shops & dwelling units for rent. As he dies he was then selling agrictural products. Big things he did as young as he was ‘ I adored him. May his soul RIP.
