Neligo Women Choir ‘Chikondi Chanu’ double launch in Lilongwe on Sunday

Neligo Women Choir of the New Living Gospel Church in Ndirande, Blantyre, will this Sunday be in Lilongwe for a double-launch of their latest ‘Chikondi Chanu’ CD and DVDs.

The launch show is slated for Sheaffer ICA Marque at the Assemblies of God Church in Area 15.

The group’s treasurer, Pastor Triza Gunde said all was set for the launch. She promised gospel music fans in Lilongwe a good show.

“We are more than ready to entertain people throughout the day,” Gunde told Nyasa Times.

She emphasized “people will never be the same at the end of the show; it’s not just a launch but a Sunday of worship.”

“I’m also assuring all patrons that they will not regret because we will perform to the best of our ability with an aim of making our fans in Lilongwe enjoy the show,” she added. “It’s no a mere show but rather a show where people will encounter and receive Jesus Christ.”

Gunde said as women, they have decided to spread the gospel through music not only in the country but beyond, assuring that their music, which mostly carries messages of faith and courage, will transform the lives of many.

Neligo Women Choir has songs that encourage young people, especially young girls to work hard in school and accomplish their goals.

Some of the songs on the ‘Chikondi Chanu’ album are ‘Ndampeza Yesu’, ‘Saona wa ku Yeliko’, ‘Yesu ndiye Nyali’ and ‘Tifalitse Uthenga’, which are already on radio.

During the Sunday show, the group will be supported by renowned artists and groups like Violet Tengani Dumba, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, Marvelous Deeds, Allan Chirwa, Mau K, Steve Wazisomo Muliya and Wamkaka Boys, among others.

Performances are slated to start at 1:00pm, attracting an entry fee of K1,000 per head. The group’s CDs and DVDs will be on sale.
