Chitedze who was off-loaded at Azam Tigers last season, established himself  as a star at Wanderer sbut fell out with coach Gerald Phiri after playing for the team for one season because of indiscipline.

Silver General Secretary Mike Tembo confirmed that Chitedze started training with the team this week.

He said Silver were interested in the player as a possible replacement for  Chawanangwa Kawonga who is heading for South Africa to play for Maritzburg United.

“The player has shown interest to join Silver so we have welcomed him,” Tembo said.

“I am sure that he will fit in the team and contribute to the good of the team”

Chitedze is one of the players Wanderers transfer-listed after the end of the first round in a bid to reinforce the team.

But coach Phiri backtracked on Chitedze position saying he was cautioned on discipline not performance.

But the player has responded by opting out of the Lali Lubani outfit to start a new life at the defending champions.

Silver have already roped in Chikhwawa United striker Ian Banda during the player transfer window period.
