People like “chimwene” are the ones that are encouraging cashgate in Malawi. If Malawians pay tax, how is their money used? is it wrong to ask Government to fund the renovation of the school when we pay tax?. Why should the alumni be involved in something that they are already funding through taxation? You are not being pragmatic in your thinking. You still believe in the old school of thought that “ask not what Government can do for you, but rather what you can do for the Government”. The school lacks leadership. Why complain to the politician, Mcheka Chilenje instead of writing the Ministry of Education and explain the state of the school? Is there no District Education office in Nsanje? The problem in Malawi is that we believe MPs are for development, NO, they are law makers while development is for councilors. MPs must stop telling voters that when they are elected they will bring development (akunama) because this is not an area of their jurisdiction. They should be telling us that they will persuade other MPs in Parliament to make good laws for the country.

Alas! . . . the news is as bad as before, and perhaps even worse now. …………………………………………………………………….. Whats more painful is that meanwhile . . . . . . The govt is to buy 8 new vehicles for the Head of State’s convoy to replace the current one, not because it is in bad… Read more »
