Nyasa Bullets players get cash incentive for beating rivals Nomads

Nyasa Big Bullets FC spoiled its players with money amounting to K700,000 for beating their rivals Be Forward Wanderers in the TNM Super League a few weeks ago.

The Peoples Team won 1-0 courtesy of a Kondwani Kumwenda’s goal at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

As a token of appreciation, the teams chairman Noel Lipipa gave the players K500,000, while their chief supporter Stone Mwamadi donated K200,000.

The donation ceremony took place Wednesday at Surestream stadium in Chilomoni township and captain Chiukepo Msowoya received the money on behalf of his friends.

In his remarks, Msowoya hailed the Lipipa and Mwamadi by describing the donation as a big motivation in their pursuit to defend the championship.

“On behalf of my friends,I would like to thank our chairman and chief supporter for the donation.This money will motivate us in our mission to defend the title,”said Msowoya.

He also assured their fans and executive committee that they will defend the title.

“We know that we have a big task in defending our title,but let me assure you that we are ready to win the championship,”he said.

In his remarks, Bullets chief supporter Stone Mwamadi said they promised cash to their players prior to Wanderers game.

“This was a pledge we promised them before Wanderers game.We assured them of money if they beat Wanderers and they won.So today  was a thank you day with this little something,”said Mwamadi.

He therefore promised the players of better things if they continue with the winning streak.

Bullets, who are on second position on the log table standing with 40 points have a tricky fixture on Sunday against Azam Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium.
