Nyasa plans buying Bullets FC

Nyasa Manufacturing Company (NMC), sponsors of Nyasa Big Bullets, are plotting to buy the club and ensure full commercialisation drive, Nyasa Times understands.

Nyasa wants to buy Bullets FC

The resignations that have hit the People’s Team trusteeship is said to be engeneered as part of the plot to ensure the sponsors take over as club owners.

The first to resign was board chairperson James Busile who was followed by Gregory Madeya before the others, including vice-chairperson Fred Kwacha, secretary Jim Kalua, the club’s finance and administration chairperson Fleetwood Haiya, who is NMC finance director,  also followed suit.

Nyasa signed a five-year K500 million partnership agreement with the People’s Team early last year.

The sponsors have downplayed speculation of buying the club  but assured that will continue their sponsorship.

NMC managing director Dimitri Kalaitzis said  as “a key partner” they would like to see the Bullets  confusion “sorted out for the good of the team.”

He said Nyasa will not interfere with the direct operations of the team, but said they  would want to operate “in an environment that is conducive.”

Bullets  chairperson Noel Lipipa agreed with Nyasa, saying no sponsor would be happy to operate in the environment of turmoil.
