Nyasa Times journo leads Malawi Tobacco Media Network
Media Network on Tobacco (MNT) has elected its president, Alfred Chauwa, who is also a journalist working for Nyasa Times.
Chauwa has commended Malawi Media for the role being played in reporting positively about tobacco industry.
He said tobacco industry is crucial to the Malawi economy.
Chauwa said the industry needs strong media network.
During the elections, Brian Itai has been elected as a Vice President, while Chancy Namadzunda – also from Nyasa Times – has been elected as the Secretary General.
Other members in thecCommittee include Angella Banda, Cathreen Maulidi, Arnold Mnelemba, Llyoid M’bwana and Lifu Litete who is MIJ FM Reporter.
