Police name Kaphuka School boy found dead

Police have identified a form 2 student from Kaphuka Private Secondary school in Blantyre who was found dead along Lunzu River with a bottle of Fanta and a sachet of tarmac poison beside his body.

Police Public Relations Officer Davie Chingwalu, disclosed the particulars of the boy as Frank Nchambalinja, aged 21.

He is from Mwanza district.

Nchambalinja was found dead at around 6:00 PM, a day after he left school without any permission.

While confirming the report, an official from Kaphuka Private Secondary School who asked for anonymity however said the boy outing pass from school to visit his home in order to collect money for the purchase of books.

The official explained that the parents of the deceased confirmed to them that the boy indeed visited home and they gave him the money he had asked for.
