Have you ever heard of any Presidents in Africa firing their Ministers through advices from the public? Almost all of them don’t as this would be deemed a weakness on their part. If people just complained and continuously without suggesting to the President to fire them; this reshuffle that has just taken place could have swept them. On Nepotism, Malawi has this as a big challenge at all levels thus in companies, government etc. There should be a vetting process by independent bodies before appointments are made. If you ask those people involved in practicing this rotten behaviors, they will… Read more »

Lhomwes related to him.. Some of us are not sharing the spoils though partially from that tribe. . Nonetheless i agree with your letter 100%. How come it’s the same people in cabinet ,mp etc since democracy over 20 years ago. Does that mean there’s nobody else but the kaliatis, Goodall , chaponda, mussa etc who can get the job done. Clearly these people have failed this country tremendously. And there should be replaced from those positions! This is the problem of getting a presidential seat mobela, you Peter mutharika have no clue on how to be a politician and how… Read more »

NYAPHAPHI!-CHITSIRU CHOMWA MADZI OMETERA NDEVU.

This government is worse than the MCP regime. The DPP has a hit squad that firstly killed Chasowa and went ahead to eliminate Njauju. Then next it has eliminated our learned colleague-Mbendera.KUPHA!KUPHA! AND KUPHA. AKACHOKA APO KUBA NDALAMA THROUGH POLICE.ALL THE POLICE COLLECT ON THE ROADS USE FAKE RECEIPTS WHERE FUNDS DONT GO TO TREASURY BUT GO TOWARDS DPP 2019 CAMPAIGN.

EEVEN MATABWA, THE CHIEF TRIBALIST YOU WISH TO MAKE VICE PRESIDENT WHEN CHAPONDA TAKES OVER WILL BE DEALT WITH BEFORE THEN.

Malawians have difficulties taking responsibilities for their own mistakes. They go as far as necessary to attribute blame for their cicumstances to anyone else. Take it or leave it, the DDP and its leadership is not to blame for the predicament Malawians find themselves in.The root cause of our plight dates back to 1993 when over 64% of Malawians voted for political pluralism. At that time it was hoped the new dispensation would bring superior social-economic advancements to most Malawians than was the case under one party system. But has political pluralism benefited the masses? Is multiparty system of government the solution… Read more »

Well articulated article. Bravo Gospel Mzati! This is the worst president ever created for Malawi and I always pray that in future, we should not have another worst president like this one who is busy shielding thieves. If he was someone who is able to make decisions on his own people like Chaponda, couldn’t become permanent ministers.
