End of Warranty for Cook-Cum-Army General: Daiton Chiziko!

image Daiton Chiziko: Roast some steak please

News that General Daiton Marko Chiziko’s contract expired has created a power vacuum in the Malawi Armed Defense Forces.  This episode is heart yanking.

Daiton Chiziko, who made his debut in the army as a poorly trained cook who thrived on the abuse of Cooking Soda in anything he cooked, rubbed salt in his own wounds by reducing the status of Army General to that of a deranged and paranoid DPP functionary.

Not surprising that some State House mice are all mouth and ears ready to sell the identity of the new Army general to the press before Mutharika makes the formal announcement.  I hope that Mutharika has discovered, as he occasionally does in his life, that snitching cooks do not make great generals and life in government must continue without consulting a birdbrain on security matters.

However, Mutharika is biting his tongue now for having listened to the horrible lies that his intelligence hawks have been feeding him—he cannot trust anybody in the Army anymore.

To him everybody is tagged treason even though he has been daring the army to takeover government by inviting the soldiers out of the barracks to participate in demonizing and terrorizing the opposition.

A scrutiny of the regular members of the current Army high command reveals that there are more deadwoods than there are vibrant and professional soldiers.

The much talked about Ntonya is spending more time in his sick bed than at the office.  The man is a very devastating pale shadow of his old exuberant self.  Gone are the brilliant smile and the galvanizing tele-tubbiness that made him the main fixture in the Malawi Embassies abroad.

The high command clearly exposes the weaknesses each person on it might bring if brought up against the high-spirited and specialized Brigadiers that were ruthlessly fired from service by the Mutharika administration, with the help of the inept cook, Daiton Chiziko and Malawi’s version of Pablo Escobar Brigadier Reuben Ngwenya, the President’s Advisor on “Insecurity and Paranoia”.

At the time when Daiton Chiziko thought his star was rising in cycle with the carnage he committed against his own soldiers, there is increasing anxiety about the welfare of the soldiers and the job security of his Officers.

Chiziko’s illegal rule of horror in the army must end forthwith.

He may use his retirement to join his types who are causing untold suffering in Uganda, Joseph Konye and the Lord Resistance Army possibly as a mercenary.

The retirement of this DPP aficionado may be a blessing in disguise.  It may breathe a new lease of life into an army that is slowly but consistently getting impatient with the brazen injustices that Chiziko and his lampooners are churning.

As of now, one can see two camps in the army.  The one group belongs to the sycophantic Daiton Chiziko water boys and the other is the objective band of professional solders that will always perform their duties with impartiality and literary refuse to dine into the pettiness of the Chiziko incestuousness.

Failure by Mutharika to release Chiziko at the expiry of his employee enterprise will hurt him in many ways: it demotes the decision by his government to fire the three Brigadiers because their contracts had expired.

Also there is no way that Mutharika can exchange blows successfully with the opposition if he keeps on breaching the constitution by maintaining an unskilled partisan knife fighter like Daiton Chiziko who has demonstrated a disturbing propensity to use street fighting tricks and throw stinging sucker punches at unsuspecting victims.

Nevertheless such a tinted position would be productive home lawn for the opposition to try to achieve two objectives: water coloring Mutharika as a duplicitous president and motivating a fissure between Mutharika and the electorates who want their leaders to be fair and non-partisan.

We hope Mutharika will appoint a military expert and an activist thinker after putting through the sieve the current crop of Brigadiers to identify an innovative leader who will create a professional silhouette and groom the future of the Malawi Armed Defense forces.

May General Chiziko roast some steak please?  I want it half done.

What are you smoking Nyakuchena Ganda by writing this: "He may use his retirement to join his types who are causing untold suffering in Uganda, Joseph Konye and the Lord Resistance Army possibly as a mercenary." Have you ever been to war torn countries? Do you know who is most affected in war? Whatever your motives are, keep the army out of this political game. Play with your politicians not the country'* defence forces, they serve whoever is elected.

* think gentlemen you are being unfair to the esteemed General. General Chiziko is a professional soldier who rose through the ranks because of his dedication and hardwork. He is a man to be respected and not ridiculed. Everyone has a humble beginning and * do not know why this is an issue here. Have you forgotten the humble beginning of your masters? Sometimes, your writing lives a lot to be desired. Let us not let politics make us write nonsense for the sake of it!

* write to differ with your juxtapositioning of Nyakuchena Ganda and his writing. You are a bitter person who is sucking sour grapes out of being misinformed about the current state of affairs in the Army. MDF is rotten to the core, courtsey of Chiziko and company. MDF is a can of sick worms who are busy eating one another for the purpose of greediness. Nyakuchena Ganda is a columnist whose opinions are general, professional and rebelliously true to hurt such closed minds as yours. Be what you are but Ganda remains an authority whose opinion carry more sense. If this reporting is pathetic, try reading news from Duwa Muntharika'* newspaper. Many Thanks.

One of the ugliest reporting in Malawi so far. What is wrong with u Ganda? Shame!Do you know procedures within the Armed Forces?Retire and go for your shubby politics. If you want to denounce the General, do so without the mention of soldiers because you dont know what you are talking about.* dont know if it is within reporting ethics that you should use such harmful language against a general and about 18 bombastic words on such a small narrative. It shows 1. incredibility in the contents 2. Unprofessionalism.Hope too much rights is poisonous.

Masoambeta * concur with you. Some of the people trying to castigate Ganda here are desparate DPP cohorts who are smarting from the explosive articles Nyakuchena Ganda writes. Duwa Mutharika'* Paper is so hateful and * wonder why these people don'* complain about it. Instead they go after the honest and candid Ganda who by any standards is a great hit with his readers. Mzwanya, if you had known that Ganda and * know more about the man in question, you would not have been rubishing this article. * think Ganda is trying to be very diplomatic in his opinion in as far as his writing is concerned. You know efelefu..... any way, he was our army commander and he is currently raping the constitution backed by his uncivilised chief. After 2009 in June theretime about Malawi will again know the real peace, no fear of treason.

Chiziko is the most eduacted General the army has ever had. He is very professional and has refused to be drawn into political feuds. That may be the reason for not renewing his contract. * don'* understand why Ganda should despise him this much. * have a lot of respect for the guy. May he enjoy his retirement.

It really seems birds of the same conglomeration tend to congregate (birds of the same feathers flock together). * could not find (in Kaulanda’* comments) the “juxtapositioning” of Ganda and his writing. May be juxtaposition means something to you, could you please share with us.

“The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls” - Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815 - 1902), 1890

Psssssssssst! Professional opinions? “Don'* judge a man by his opinions, but what his opinions have made of him. -Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (1742 - 1799) . Most people who use a nom de plume (pseudonym) practice plagiarism. Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one'* own original work. Believe it or not...changing the words of an original source is not sufficient to prevent plagiarism. If you have retained the essential idea of an original source, and have not cited it, then no matter how drastically you may have altered its context or presentation, you have still plagiarized. To avoid plagiarism, one must always give credit whenever they use:
· another person’* idea, opinion, or theory;
· any facts, statistics, graphs, drawings—any pieces of information—that are not common knowledge;
· quotations of another person’* actual spoken or written words; or
· paraphrase of another person’* spoken or written words
Terms You Need to Know (or What is Common Knowledge?)
Common knowledge: facts that can be found in numerous places and are likely to be known by a lot of people.
Example: Mose Wa Lero is the President of Malawi.
This is generally known information. You do not need to document this fact.
However, you must document facts that are not generally known and ideas that interpret facts.
Example: According to the American Family Leave Coalition’* new book, Family Issues and Congress, President Bush’* relationship with Congress has hindered family leave legislation (6).
The idea that “Bush’* relationship with Congress has hindered family leave legislation” is not a fact but an interpretation; consequently, you need to cite your source.
Quotation: using someone’* words. When you quote, place the passage you are using in quotation marks, and document the source according to a standard documentation style.
The following example uses the Modern Language Association’* style:
Example: According to Peter *. Pritchard in USA Today, “Public schools need reform but they’re irreplaceable in teaching all the nation’* young” (14).
Paraphrase: using someone’* ideas, but putting them in your own words. This is probably the skill you will use most when incorporating sources into your writing. Although you use your own words to paraphrase, you must still acknowledge the source of the information
Did * get you confused. Let’* rewind: “Don'* judge a man by his opinions, but what his opinions have made of him”. -Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (1742 - 1799). As long as he does not come out of the closet (mind you, the term 'closet' is also used in a more general way for any behavior that is potentially embarrassing or controversial, and thus kept hidden. (e.g., "He'* a closet drinker" or "*'m a closet Trekkie".) he is nothing but just another anonymous “blogger” to me. * am cool with him but * would wish he would avoid emotionally charged words--words that are likely to produce more heat than light. Likewise, * wish he would avoid argumentum ad hominem. Am told that Personal attacks on your opponents are an admission of intellectual bankruptcy. He needs to keep attention centered on the objective problem itself. Also he does not need to impute ridiculous or malevolent ideas to his opponents. Last but not list, he needs to avoid obscurum per obscurius. (synonymous with ignotum per ignotius: "unknown by means of the more unknown" : An explanation that is less clear than the thing to be explained.
“With reasonable men * will reason; with humane men * will plea; but to tyrants * will give no quarter, nor waste arguments where they will certainly be lost.” - William Lloyd Garrison (1805 - 1879)

What is debating? "The word debate itself derives from the Latin word "Debatum" which means to reach an agreement, the concept of a resolution is to educate people on an issue so that they may learn and the world may reach an agreement on the issue." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debate.

The stage is set. Let us debate on real issues for the betterment of our beloved country.

And some of you claim to know this man better than anybody in your comments. Hahahahaha! what a waste. If you know him very well, you must be around the same age as him 56 actually and not 58 as put on Nyasa previously. You must be of his age but behaving like a bunch of winging kids and maybe your children are more mature than you are. You are in your fifties and are writing and arguing with people here younger enough to be your children or grand children? Move on buddy.
At your age your supposed to be a good example to the younger generation and not a bad example. That shows luck of knowledge indeed. Do you recognise at all?
You are fools especially when the people you are talking about are not replying back and you keep on commenting about this rubbish persistently.

Sorry, people just cannot buy your insanity. Hope you do not pass this type of behavior to your children as you will be gone by the time they will struggle very much to fit in the next non prejudiced generation of leaders should they adopt such behavior from people like you.

What are you saying you know this man well than anybody here. What are trying to imply? That you know his good, bad and ugly? He should know yours too and he is quiet about it because he has no time to waste with this kind of nonsense or maybe worse still because its as often that those who talk more are the devils and in our vernacular we have a saying empty tins make a lot of noises.
We will hear soon. Maybe you could be one those implicated in the coup.

Lucifer claims he knows God very well which yes he does. God is good but he translates it that he is not good to his followers. But he says he knows God. Is that true? Does God respond to what Lucifer tries to convince people? You know the answer and that was just a rhetoric question.

Besides why is your names in red when everyone else is in black???? That answers it all doesn'* it.

Culo * would rather be a mulayiya than to work in the environment of orders thats why you people dont think, you wait for orders from Chiziko someone who used to cook.
