Dr. Charles Matabwa: Stinks Out ADMARC!

This man is a bus: he is an inefficient and rowdy CEO who made the big jump from a mere carousing and skirt chasing "Sloppy Joe" to a "Dazzling Big Charlie" because of the wedlock of consanguinity that exists between him and his cousin Webster Ryson Thom Mtalika a.k.a. Bingu Mutharika.

Dr. Matabwa is a man with a riotous behaviour who enjoys doing things out of perspective. Instead of revamping the sinking ship called ADMARC, he has partnered with his tribesman a Mr. Mulumbe the self made, once diligent and dexterous Finance Guru, to milk ADMARC like a cow through the surreptitious and corrupt use of Matabwa's Mkhakango Transport Company.

According to reliable sources from the ADMARC Transport Department at the Head Office in Limbe, Mr. Mulumbe is the one at the nerve centre of the corrupt activities. He is the one organising and signing payment cheques for Mkhakango Transport Company while other transporters have to wait for long spells before they are paid for the work they do for ADMARC.

In addition, many transporters are complaining about the favouritism showed towards Mkhakango Transport Company who are being awarded big jobs and inter regional trips. Meanwhile traditional transporters have to grovel for routes days on end at the Regional Offices.

Mkhakango Transport Company is one of Matabwa's most common tools of deception. By using this transport company, Matabwa and Mulumbe are committing corruption on an hour-by-hour routine.

There is a boundless list of illustrations but all you have to do to witness this pillage is to watch or listen to the goings on at either the Head Office of ADMARC or the Regional Offices.

It is astounding; once you realise he is doing this to the organisation that is basically on life support, you will be staggered at how often he uses his dirty technique of trickery and bribery. This must be the financial shimmy of the year.

Just to protect his roost Dr. Matabwa and with the assistance of his accomplice, Mulumbe has engaged in a campaign to deal ruthlessly with all those who have expressed unhappiness with his modus operandi [method of operation].

Whenever any officer or manager points out a detail or marker that works against his point of view or his sneaky activities he shelves or trashes it. He questions its soundness in spite of the source. In supplementary terms, he disregards genuineness and professionalism.

Dr. Matabwa spends a large amount of get-up-and-go probing for any contentious "background noise" about his managers whom he wants to forcefully and brutally consign to total submission.

In further expressions when he is frightened of the communication and when he has no plausible way of getting round such professionals he verbally whacks the individual. He uses blatant terror tactics to consolidate his position of domination.

Sometimes he uses this as a reflex action, before any meeting starts, he begins by making some outrageous charge, off-putting the management meeting agenda in the process. An example of how this is so wrong to do is the way he protects wrong doers who do the dirty stuff for him. The despotic hypocrites willing to do his bidding at any cost come rain or sun shine.

The fact that such people disrespect authority by bending the rules and systems for his sake; has no relevance to the fact that he should protect them from being fired for whatever indiscretions, they committed.

To Charles Matabwa the argument, as most of his arguments are, is neither here nor there. To create another scenario of how purgatory his actions are; is when dealing with managers from other regions and not the South and Thyolo in particular.

You might think of his conduct as javel—the bleaching agent: as he terrorises them and accuses them of plotting to bring him down.

Regardless of their managerial frailties, you cannot so recklessly accuse them of things they are not doing. Matabwa uses people's tribe to discredit their talents, which is wrong both in principle and ethically.

But who cares about ethics nowadays? Not when the president's cousin is breaching them.
