Lucifer's Sister Is Here! She Paid Us Small!

Lucifer the Arch-Devil must be a very happy "Evil Angel" for in Patricia Kaliati; he has a very able protégé if not sister.

For Patricia Kaliati, nee Botomani has such an obnoxious way with Press Conferences so that each time she holds one; she lowers the standards further down into the yawing abyss of oblivion for the government she is supposed to speak for.

Finally Ms. Patricia Botomani smelled the blood and she was foaming on the mouth as she discharged a fusillade of profanities only that this time Nikki Dausi was missing in the frame.

It's nice that she realizes she has been riding the wrong horse much as she still remains such a horrendous gaffer and a complete late down to the President. She needs to fine tune and tweak her act if she is to be taken seriously by anybody. Otherwise she comes across as delusional imbecile.

Since assuming her current portfolio she has been behaving as if her own calls for professionalism in performance by the media and execution of information dissemination should be appropriate to everyone but herself. Hogwash! Isn't she the one who should be setting the high standards?

Now she thinks she can bring that same double standard to the general public by warning against the enacting of the Information Bill and haranguing Malawian Journalists and any sympathizers of the opposition.

Also, her fraudulently acquired affluence has gone to her head so that now she can publicly ridicule those poor Malawians, who work so hard to earn a living, that they get paid peanuts and do not own property because they could not get any bribes from the Emirs of United Arab Emirates. Baloney!

Such was her ridiculousness that we left the Press conference unimpressed and in stitches of laughter. For we could not comprehend why a whole government Minister could opt for the low ground instead of raising the moral bar for the administration and her.

If Patricia Botomani a.k.a Kaliati is a constructive and morally upright as she claims to be; if she wants the nation to take her sincerely by believing in what her functions are about, not only as a Minister, but as the competent politician she wants us to believe she is, she will stop making a fool of herself by advertising her ignorance and stupidity the way she did at her recent press conference where she laid into the Media by accusing them of lack of ethics and morality.

Kaliati must stop showing off top government Security and Intelligence experts in public the way she did with Mr. Kapalamula like her boyfriends. That was a very serious National Security breach that can only be entertained in Malawi and by doing so, the personal and professional integrity of Mr. Kapalamula was heavily compromised.

Now Malawians know who Mr. Kapalamula is and I don't think he will be capable of performing his duties in confidence and clandestinely, as his profession requires him to. All because Kaliati was so imprudent as to try to hoodwink Malawian's that Mr. Kapalamula did not make the trip to Angola as it was reported in the press. Isn't that water under the bridge?

Whether Kapalamula went to Angola or not, his cover has been blown and he will never be able to serve this country in his professional capacity effectively; since as from Thursday 9th May 2008 he took over the mantra of "State Stooge" and just "another government paid snitch".

I doubt if this man will share a beer or a cold one with any sane Malawian at the "watering holes" anymore. Moreover what kind of fool would be comfortable to share an innocent chat or banter with this man? To Malawians he is an informer. A tattler, who should be shunned, avoided at any cost. Thanks to Kaliati.

Instead of wasting rare government resources by holding useless Press Conferences that advance draconian principles, she must turn to attending to serious business her Ministry is mandated to perform, in view of the fact that we will be having a general election in May 2009, and there are also many government programs and policies that need to be sold to the public through her Ministry.

Kaliati must not spend time discussing dirty jokes like "Kudya Nthochi Zopanda Makoko" with Godfrey Kanyinji, her PS, when she should provide the political policy leadership as they strategize vibrant Civic Education campaigns, to enlighten and prepare Malawians for their civic duties and other roles they can play in the democratic process.

Please Ms. Botomani, your passionate supporters, your friends, and all those Malawians who have faith in Dr. Mutharika's leadership, the people who live explicitly through the leadership of the DPP and all that it stands for; ought to have better than what you are offering.

The president should not be forced to apologize again to the citizens for the asinine or juvenile mistakes people like you and Ntaba are making. He is above that.

It is flabbergasting and inane that the media have not come out in indignation at Kaliaiti's very offensive comments about the Media Community and the Information Bill, which in reality she was advocating State Censorship and muzzling of the Press.

It is very disappointing and extremely dumbfounding at how she has been able to spout hatred, tribalism and sheer empty bluster with no perceptible opposition from the thinking public, civil liberties committee that; she has been allowed to be on the rampage like a wounded pregnant Buffalo to cause so much public relations carnage with no one trying to bring her to a halt! This must stop! Forthwith!

Yes Ms. Botomani knows we are here in Malawi. Accurate. And we will vote in May 2009 to make sure that democracy prevails for a better and law-abiding nation of Malawi.

Patricia Botomani Kaliati knows the whole truth about the Malawi Government being involved in the clearance of arms which were destined for Zimbabwe--there is no smoke without fire. And for the head of SIS accepting to accompany Patricia Kaliati in refuting these allegations, just shows how half baked these people are.Mr.Kapalamula shouldnt have accepted to be with Kaliati considering his work.Being the head of intelligence services, you dont need to be known by the the public as Patricia has fooled you Mr.Kapalamula.Why did you let her use u as if you have just woken up from the same bed?Mr.Kapalamula, you might be a professional in your work but Patricia is abusing you together with your office. Finally,a piece of advice to Patricia Kaliati: stop threatening journalists with arrests especially Kondwani Munthali whom you wanted to use in the News and Current Affairs at MBC otherwise you are just another empty tin in the streets of Limbe and Blantyre making alot of useless noise.Where will you go after parliamentary elections next year?Tikakumana kwa Nkando, ku Pasani kapena ku Chambe kwa Mkanda kufupi ndi phiri la Mulanje.Do not dig your own grave politically.Ndapita.

Ganda, you are such a good and eloquent writer but you have lost me out on your thought process and analytics in this article. What is wrong with Kaliati displaying Kapalamula on television? Malawians have a right to know who the heads of the various organs of Government (inclusive of intelligence)are. Do not mistake or confuse the intelligence organization with the intelligence and so called Research Bureaus that were associated with tyrants such as Kamuzu, Idi Amin, Mobutu and others that you can add to the list, whose main role was to carry out systematic and clanderstine elimination of real and imaginable political opponents. Just take a look at heads of big intelligence organizations such as CIA, FBI, MI5 and others, they are public officers whose identity is prominently disclosed on the websites and for that matter do appear on television when need be. These individuals need the trust and support of the masses. We could agree with you, if you say the identity of the operatives may not need publicising but for the people at the top of our intelligence organization who call the shots and direct the operations, they need to be known and held accountable. Gone should be the dark days where intelligence is about being secretive so that they can carry out victimization of political opponents with impunity. Tne objective should be to protect the Country from external and internal threats. That issue gone, thanks for advise that you have given to Kaliati about the way she behaves. She grown up and must not wait for someone to come and beat the drums to remins her of that. It is also my hope that you too just like Kaliati will disist from using obscene language so that we should promote the culture where people with wavering views can argue and disagree with each other whilst maintaining their cool and dignity. One fails to notice the difference between Kaliati and yourself at times. You seem to be born of the same mother. Zikomo

For christ'* sake that Kapalamula man should not have accepted to be paraded as an alibi to counter argue some of the unpopular acts of the DPP gov. He is more professional and would have used reason to convince the minister not to be part of her inane political propaganda. Mvula on comment 2, did you ever think why people hide their names and what that entails? Just a tip that all is not well in our country bacause fear and arrests are imminent to any crtical minds. Is that what you expect in a democratic government mr/ms Mvula? Don'* forget that every government has its lifespan and soon or later it will collapse and that will be the time to pay for the current malicious acts. Kaliati is becoming more powerful than anyone else but time will come and soon it will arrive and we shall be at the same level. Let us strive for excellence and professionalism and not defending ideologies that do not make sense at all and have no benefit to the country. Does this tell us that these ministers have nothing to do other than to dispel such allegations and for how long shall they continue to do that? Why should the government spend resources to castigate journalists? Rgds ganda, jon, katsinamputsi and Senior

nyaku * think you have not been objective enough and balanced with your article. Imagining you on the podium * see another Kaliati. Ofcourse we learn from biblical stories but total substitution of the current realities in Malawi do not hold water.
