P-Hustle to release new album on his 20th birthday

Paul Kasolokera Mkandawire, popularly known when on stage as P-hustle, has announced he will release his Extended Play (EP) on 25th July, 2016, the day when he will be celebrating his 20th birthday.P Hustle

The Mzuzu-based artist said DJ Kenlo of Mzuzu and Gabriel of Lilongwe are currently working on producing the Extended Play entitled “The City and the Man”.

The album will have six songs without any features as it reflects on the artist’s life growing up in the city.

P-Hustle, as he is popularly known in the music industry, said being a Mzuzu-based artist, he thought of coming up with the album which explains more about his life in the city.

“This EP is for everyone, the adults and the kids. One song was recorded and released due to pressure from my fans; I called it N.L.A which means never live a lie,” he said.

He also mentioned that N.L.A is the only song in the album that will include a video which he is still working on as he wants it to be the biggest thing this year in the northern part of Malawi.

“I chose N.L.A hit for my next video because it reflects on my life, living the truth. Though recording is currently underway, this song is my favourite so far in the EP, and the response from fans about this song has just been awesome.

“We will hire models and I’m still working on who’s to shoot the video since we have lots of cinematographers in Malawi doing big, but all I can say for now is that it’s going to be a big video from the north and of my biggest solo Project,” he explained.

On his birthday last year, P-Hustle released a video of his track titled “I’M RECOGNISED”, featured by Colnaz Jermaino. It has since been played on major television stations like MBC, Times, Zodiak and Angaliba, just to mention a few.

“I would like to promise my fans that there will be no disappointments because I’m working hard spending most of my time on the album. They just have to be ready,” assure the young artist.

P-Hustle has worked with a number of artists across the Northern Region, like a track titled “DOING BIG” featuring PAMPENE ALLIENCE from Karonga.

He is also scaling up for the national rank as he posted on his Facebook a few days ago that he is working on a remix called “AMALAWI AKUDABWA” which features artists like HOMEAGE and the BLACKFACEFAMILY that will be out on 3rd June, this year.
