P-Square Malawi concert cancelled: Postponed to Saturday

The long-awaited P-Square “Experience Malawi” concert, which was scheduled to take place this evening at Lilongwe Golf Club in the capital city, has been cancelled.

According to a tweet by Peter Okoye of P-Square on Friday afternoon, the show has been shifted to Saturday [tomorrow].

“We sincerely apologise to all our  [loving] fans here in Malawi. The concert has been postponed till [tomorrow] 16th march. Due to some technical challenges from promoters,” he tweeted.

Nyasa Times has since learnt that the organisers have been forced to postpone the show because the equipment which the Nigerian outfit demanded to use is yet to arrive into the country.

P-Square, the most paid musicians in Africa, comprising twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye arrived in Malawi on Thursday afternoon ahead of the show which has excited many fans in the country.

A lot of people are travelling all the way from Blantyre and Mzuzu to be part of the historic show, probably the biggest show in Africa this weekend.

P-Square, are popular for their songs Forever, Chop my Money, Beautiful Onyinye and, recently, Alingo, among other hits.

The Nigerian duo’s first place to visit in Malawi was the famous Lounge O’Nthambi at City Centre.
