It does not mean that God’s servant should live in poverty no! no!. But what matters most here is (1) the cheating of the so called men of God (2) the boastfulness of wealth by the so called men of God. Otherwise, men of God are supposed to be fed by the followers in everything. But as Apostle Paul said, they themselves are not to seat idle, kuopa kulemetsa anthu. Most of these so called pastors are thieves and hypocrites.
Going by the headline, the pastor is right you can’t run away from posh cars and if you have put in the sweat and tears like the good shepard has we shouldnt begrudge him or any one else like him his success. I am aware there are others who say it goes against everything Jesus taught, and there is merit in that argument as well. What is detestable though is the showing off, flaunt it attitude, it is unnecessary; this bit has nothing to do with being pastor.
