We demand also that Government must implement a policy that does not allow only one tribe/ Region to manage the parastatals. We experience that from the cleaner to the CEO, some parastatals are run by a tribe such that when you enter such offices, you greeted not in Chichewa but the language spoken by just a few in Malawi.

Malawi’s problem is that we have incompetent leaders. The same incompetent people who have been leading Malawi the past 15 to 30 years. People who should not be employed based on experience because their experience is negative. Why we expect those same people to change is beyond me. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. If minister X failed to effectively and efficiently run department X in 1998 and again 2005, there is no way he can do it 2015.
