Pharmanova donates drugs to Dowa hospital: Malawi safemotherhood

Pharmanova Limited has made a donation of 200 cartons of  medical drugs and delivery kits Dowa District Hospital.

The company presented the donation to Malawi President Joyce Banda when she opened a maternity waiting home at Dowa District Hospital worth K19 million (about $50 000).

Pharmanova’s Marketing Manager, Peter Makwana said his company will give over two hundred delivery kits to Dowa to help women have safe delivery under the Presidential Initiative on Maternal Health and Safe Motherhood, which the President is championing.

According to Makwana, Pharmanova, like most other l business enterprises, believes that it cannot exist without its customers and “there is a noble necessity to give back to society.”

Pharmanova is a leading pharmaceutical company in Malawi.

A maternity waiting home at Dowa District Hospital has been constructed with funding from Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited.
