Piksy unveils new singles before album release
With the launch of his upcoming album “Mnthunzi” set for the first weekend of July, Afro rapper/singer Piksy is keeping the streets hyped up.
CCNB recently announced he’d be dropping two new jams before unveiling his second album and keeping his word, he released the first record called “Mwezi Uwale” on Thursday.
The other single is on its way and interestingly, according to Piksy, this one, titled “Lobodo” features the melodic Maskal. It will be their first song together since 2012 after the chart-topping jam “Wa CV” off Maskal’s “Nthawi” album.
In the mellow “Mwezi Uwale”, true to Langwani instrumentations, Piksy contemplates of proposing to his dream girl.
The hook is catchy “Mwezi uwale, tikumane ndi dona apa/Lija ndi kale/mfundo zanga ndiponya apa/ and on and on it goes. The lyrics are what will amaze the people as they can relate.
Piksy, like any other typical man about to propose, is nervous and even considering drinking a local brew “bibida” to summon his courage.
The “Mthunzi” album launch is slated for July 4 at Robins Park in Blantyre and July 5 at Alexanders in the Capital Lilongwe and will feature Lucius Banda, Chimzy Kelly from Zambia, Maskal, Edgar & Davis, Young Kay, Dan Lu, Daredevilz, Nepman, BarryOne, among others.
