And when it’s finished and full of people.. it will collapse and kill hundreds. Wake up you stupid corrupt fools and do it properly or not at all. What proportion do you think the cement is being mixed to? Don’t blame the chinese!! I think it would be suicide to go near the place after it’s higher than 2 metres. Can’t we idiots learn ANYTHING from our recent experience?Lets call this “Stadium Gate”. Contractor can’t speak english… now that shows right there the level of commitment to quality. Complaints about the lack of heavy machinery. We ALL know, especially the… Read more »

Corruption under construction. By Law Public contracts are supposed to have a full time Government supervisor to ensure work is carried out according to specifications. It is not for a Minister to be a supervisor. The Minister should have quizzed the government representative overseeing the works who is probably being bribed by the Chinese so that he can cut corners.

Is Mangochi so desperate for a stadium? Surely there are more important projects that would benefit the town. Perhaps APM wants a stadium at Mangochi so that he can appear there with all his entourage, party officials, hangers-on, etc. etc.to address ‘his’ people. Who is going to pay for this project in the final analysis anyway? The people of course through their taxes, not the Chinese. Incidentally how can you have a contractor supervising a project who can’t even speak the language? So much for the Chinese.
