PP exerts pressure on DPP’s Mussa: Mia paints Chiradzulu East orange

Ruling Peoples Party (PP) has exerted pressure on Chiradzulu East Member of Parliament , Henry Mussa of DPP as the PP vice president Sidik Mia  stormed the constituency in an effort to displace the legislator who has been representing it for quite a long time.

Mia and his party entourage stormed the constituency this week where already over 50 members of the opposition
Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) dumped the party where Mussa is treasurer general and joined PP.

Mia who was welcomed on arrival by senior chief Kadewere said the constituency appeared like it had no representative citing the use of candles during delivery at Ndunde Maternity Clinic.

As Mia arrived, dozens of people mobbed him singing in praise of President Joyce Banda.

In his address, Mia said: “Your gathering in such large numbers of people has portrayed a clear picture to all those who have eyes of the kind of love that you people of Chiradzulu for the party and our beloved leader.”

But in an interview, Mussa said he was not moved by the turn-up of the people at Mia’s rally.

Mussa said he was a seasoned politician and most of the people that went to Mia’s rally were ferried away from the
constituency.

The Chiradzule East MP, also known as Mtengowaminga boasted that come 2014 he will continue representing the constituency in the National Assembly.
