Inspired by Pro Gain’s own experience, the track is part of a proposal package the artist delivered to his girlfriend Bertha Mambala, and he later thought it was wise to release it to the world, bearing in mind that somebody somewhere is also taking the step he took.

“You know there is a myth out there that one has to make more money before getting married, probably that’s necessary when you are looking for a gold-digger, mistaking her for a noble wife. I don’t think there is anything beautiful than growing in age, financially and other areas in one’s life than to grow with the better half of you,” Pro Gain explained.

“Be My Wife” is a second single off Pro Gain’s third project whose title is to be revealed in due course. In June the Blantyre-based artist will be releasing a video of the song, before dropping another single. The Christian musician is scheduled to release a couple of singles before releasing the album next year.

He said: “My people should expect more, I promise to not stay quiet for a long time like I did.” Pro Gain released his previous song “It’s Okay” in September 2015.

Born King Khangamwa, Pro Gain is a Malawian artist who is into Christian hip hop/RnB and has so far released two albums. He released his first album “180 Degrees Turn (From Death to Life” in 2012, comprising 15 tracks and having “God Given (I got it Fromma Poppa)” as its lead single.

In 2014 he released his second album titled “Firm Grip” which is comprised 17 tracks and having “Mfana Wofewa” as its lead single whose video has been enjoying massive airplay on local TVs and radios both in Malawi and in the neighboring countries like Zambia.

Pro Gain is the founder of the record label Brother’s Keeper, which has so far signed two RnB artists and a rapper.
