Unless they are stupid they should not apologies because they did not steal the tractors. Has Thom Mpinganjira apologized? Has Juliana Lunguzi and her fellow MPs apologized for giving each other MK12 million? The Malawi Government advertised the sale of the tractors and people applied. They were offered to buy and they bought so why should they apologize? The Ombudsman was very horny when she demanded an apology from the buyers. Let the Malawi Govt apologies not civil servants. What’s wrong with Malawians. Wrong doing involving public money is theft and therefore the people involved in these scams should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Apology? My foot!! This country is really lost! What on earth is wrong with Malawians?

i agree with Lunguzi that an apology is not enough. The ombudsman was only being modest, I think. We need the plant and equipment back. We are tolerating too much foolishness in the country: cashgate, tractorgate, blackouts, shortage of water, name them.
