Rashy tells Wanderers players to be title contenders

Be Forward Wanderers FC board Chairman Rashid Gaffar  has told the club players  should be in title hunt in the forthcoming TNM Super League campaign.

Rashy said this during an address at their Country Club Limbe  training ground on Friday  afternoon.

Accompanied  by the clubs General Secretary Mike Butao, he  urged the players to accelerate their gear this season in order to win the league.

“We have the best squad in the country and in so doing our fans expect us to perfom better this season. Let me salute you for winning three trophies last season. But this season our main focus should on the league,” said Gaffar, before a loud of applause from the players.

He also advised the players to consult him and the executive committee if they have got grievances rather than rushing to media.

“We want you to live a happy life at Lali-Lubani. Wanderers is a big club and we want each one of you to enjoy playing for this great club,” said Rashy.

Wanderers coach, Yasin Osman advised his players to continue be united.

“For us to achieve what we want you need to love each other and unite. It is a collective responsibility between you, us and supporters to win the League,” said Yasin, also popuraly known as ‘Teach’.

Wanderers Technical Director Jack Chamangwana also warned the players against complacency during matches.

“Yes we have cream of players in our squad, but my advice is let us work hard during games because names alone cannot play football,” he said.
