Need to evaluate what the SADC Secretariat have achieved over the many years that have gone. What is the mandate of this Secretariat? What strategic objectives were laid out at its inception? To what extent have these objectives been achieved? If its existence is still justified, what capacity does it have to generate its own income? To what extent have the financial resources of the Secretariat been efficiently used? Answers to these questions could clear the air.

…that is the curse that is Africa. People in these vanguard organisations like NEPAD, SADC, AU are working for nothing but allowances, no vision, no interest. If you take a quick look at AU, you will notice that as soon as Ma Zuma took over it has been South Africans getting jobs at AU, well, to share the shame lets say SADC. And a closer look at NEPAD the Benin CEO has recently been employing people from home (west Africa) including nephews, well to share the shame, lets say, the francophones.
